Back at Richards office relaxing, we have a wedding to go to tonight.

My nose is, as usual, in my BlackBerry checking up on and answering recent emails while Jeab is playing with the new additions to Richards office :)

I went into the jungle with a local man to harvest durian.

we follow trails


durian in the wild falls naturally from the huge trees
when ripe.


the grass and foilage is cut from around the trees trunk
for the ripe durian to fall on.


the village people gather up the fallen durian and haul it out
of the jungle in these plastic backets on their backs.

there are many roadside durian sands along the windy roads in the mountains


jungle durain is smaller than the durian most people are used to seeing in their local Asain markets (that is commercially grown) some durian in the wild is as small as a hand. It is only gathered when it falls naturally ripe.


we took the durian back to Come's mothers house and had a durian feast!!
